Riven - Tay

In Tay, I was responsible for constructing the entry cave as well as contributing to several key areas within the Hive. Specifically, I built the Prison Room, crafting the walls, floor structures, and door. For the Hive's interior, I also worked on the walkways, light fixtures, bridges, and elevators, ensuring these elements maintained the architectural aesthetic while accommodating functional gameplay. Additionally, I completed an initial pass on the huts, laying the groundwork for their development.
As with other village areas, these environments presented significant challenges due to their complexity and performance demands on VR platforms. To address this, I employed a similar optimization process to what was used in the Jungle Island village, ensuring these intricate spaces could perform efficiently without compromising their visual fidelity.
I also created the Prisoner Boat and the Gehn’s Effigy, two standout props in Tay. While I’ll dive into the details of these pieces in separate posts, they were key contributions that brought depth and storytelling to the region.
